Short and sweet this week

We'll start with this (by the way if you don't get it, you're probably not taking enough interest in the Xmas dinner shopping!).

Why did the Runner put a turkey on his head? Because he wanted to get a bronze!

A bad cracker joke perhaps, but in an immodest start to this week's report, so it was at Rother Valley Parkrun on Saturday where Giles Searby finished in his turkey hat in 23:05 for his second fastest 5K and a Bronze Club Standard

Tom Topham had obviously foil wrapped his turkey as he finished way ahead of that in 18:09 for a Club Silver Standard

Even further up the road, current MoM, Philip Morris scored a new PB of 17:09.

Meanwhile, down in London at Highbury Fields Parkrun, John Sanderson scored an 18:29 and Kerry Anderson a 26:26.

Well done all!

In the finest Radio Times tradition, we'll be back with a Festive double issue to cover the rest of the Xmas period racing immediately after the New Year.

Until then, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from and to all the Clowne Road Runners family!
