The main action this week centres on the final Saturday of the Parkrun Team Challenge which produced a good crop of strong performances at our local courses.
Poolsbrook was notable for seeing 4 CRR finishers in the top 8. Jordan Street’s 18:09 earned him 2nd place. Malc Stapelton was 6th in 20:27; Nick Roberts 7th in 20:28 and Dan Harpham 8th in 20:30.
Andrea Walker landed a course PB with her 23:46 and Michael Burr celebrated his return from injury with a 30:59.
There were PB’s aplenty at Rother Valley, starting with Helen Worsfold’s 23:14. Chris Lindley’s 23:23 was a PB. Rebecca Marshall landed a distance PB and Club Bronze Standard with her 23:28.
Ricki Oscroft’s 24:39 was a PB as was David Johnson’s 25:45. Lindsay Baker ran in a 27:35 and Michael Lees 28:00.
Clumber saw Steve Battle score an age group win with his 20:15 for 5th place and behind him in that same category came Michael Brown in 20:50 for 9th place.
Michael Brown continued the 5k theme with a run at a soggy undulating race down in Suffolk on Sunday, the Alton Water 5K, which he finished in 22:18 for a 3rd Place finish.
The only other action on Sunday was at the Litton Christmas Cracker Fell Race. Over the 7.6-mile course Jordan Street finished in 59:07; Richard Hind 1:12:04 and Michelle Needham came in on 1:18:34.
Well done all!
No race photos to include this week, so please do remember to e-mail or message those across!
Finally, a reminder that to maintain the suspense, the results of this month’s Parkrun Team Challenge won’t be announced until Presentation Night next month.
