Another quietish results week, so we’ll sneak in a mention of the 29 mile Peak District Mighty Hike, which a team including Suzanne Leusby, Tanya Beighton and Emma Swales completed in 11:45 on 27 July and raised almost £2,500 for Macmillan along the way! 👏
At the Butcher’s Dog-Leg on Thursday night, the race was on for the free burgers and leading the charge for CRR was Darren King in 2nd place in 23:16. Only the time it takes to melt a cheese slice after him came Graham Worsfold in 24:25 for 5th place. Steve Battle finished in 27:47; Steve Hattersley 29:35; Lucy Broadbent 32:38; Jo Johnson 34:50; Julie King 35:03 and clearly elbowing each other for queue position, Bridget Hemstock 39:49 and David Johnson 39:50.
This week’s ubiquitous fell Race was the Salt Cellar 7.7 mile race on Friday night and Richard Hind finished that in 1:14.
To Saturday and the latest round of the team Parkrun competition where the main action was at Rother Valley – led by Andrea Walker’s Gold Standard achieving 23:01 PB. 👏
Matt Taylor scored another PB with his 21:58; Paul Taylor 22:02 and Giles Searby a 23:37 course PB. Meanwhile at an undulating Colby Gardens Parkrun, Lynn Hazelton ran a 33.23.
