Higham Hill Race
We sprung forward this week and it was straight into the first mid-week race of the season, the Higham Hill race a 4 mile trail race. First home for CRR was Hannah Sharpe in 34:45, followed by Matt Taylor in 35:31 and Ellis Hewitt in 36:44.
Saturday marked the first round of the new Parkrun competition and brought with it some impressive performances. At Rother Valley, Graham Worsfold achieved a Gold Club Standard with a 17:18 finish, closely followed by Matt Martin in 17:52 and a 26 sec PB. David Johnson also achieved a new PB of 26:17. At Clumber, Malcolm Ward came in on 21:39, a 30 second PB and Steve Hattersley on 22:27. Meanwhile at Poolsbrook, Dan Harpham achieved a Club Silver Standard with 19:25 and Ellis Hewitt another PB on 23:45. At Mersia Island Andrew Walker scored a PB with 24:54.
Chicken Run Fell Race
On Sunday, Richard Hind took on the Chicken Run Fell Race, almost 6 miles in the Peaks around Glossop and finished on 51:45.
Over at Lincoln 10k Steve Hattersley came in on 47:01. There was a good turn out to run and support at the Dronfield 10k, Hannah Sharpe scored a Club Silver Standard with a 45:35. Andy Harris got a course PB with a 48:13 run. Paul Taylor achieved a Club Bronze Standard with a 48:17 an Craig Lockett came in on 53:03.
Greater Manchester Marathon
Finally, over at the , Louise Lowe was first home for the Club in 3:54:00 and Giles Searby came in on 4:13:16, a 49 minute marathon PB.
