The fellsman is a event that covers more than 60 miles over some very hard and rugged moorland and
climbs over 11,000 feet in its path taking in the summits of Ingleborough , Whernside, Great coum,
Blea moor,  GreatKnotberry,  Buckden pike, and Great Whernside, from the start at Ingleton to the finish
at Threshfield in Wharfdale.  Most of the route is over privately owned land the use of which is secured

Florence 1/2m
I ran The Florence Half Marathon on Sunday 3rd April in a time of 1:57:13.  Over 3000 runners ran the
narrow streets of Florence passing many of the famous landmarks including the famous Dome, Ponte
Vecchio ( bridge ),Piazza della Signoria, Piazza della Repubblica and the old Royal Residence, Palazzo
Pitti.  Many of the streets were of uneven cobbles and stone setts, the weather was about 25c, bright
and sunny.   The race is over a 2 lap course and is very popular with the local runners, Very
disheartening when the lead runner  (a Kenyan) passes you when you are at the 10.5k mark, he is on
his final run in and you have another lap to go.  Hay  well I got round and got the T-shirt.
